I've totally forgotten my manners.

I never introduced myself....how rude of me!

What can I tell you?

I'm a die hard American with roots in the South. My grandmother's family has been traced back to Jamestown. Her mother's people--the Carter line--links me directly to the great Southern general, Robert E. Lee.

My grandfather's family immigrated to America in the late 1600's. His Uncle Gabriel was a bugler in the American Revolution. Every generation of his family could read and write--including those who lived in the holler of Appalachia. His Scot-Irish mother added the touch of vim to the verve, adding the warrior aspect to all future generations.

With such a pedigree, the bugle has been passed to me in the form of a keyboard.

I'm a fighter with an attitude. It's in my blood. Unafraid, unabashed with a huge distrust of those who impact the ability of everyday people to lead a decent life. A progressive libertarian Democrat with NASCAR energy fueled by sunshine...ready to throw oranges at anyone who tries to tell me what I can and cannot say.

I moved south to go north. As a 43 year Floridian, I have witnessed by state suffer the double dose of the Bush brothers--J.E.B. and George. The Sunshine State--once Paradise-- is now a police state with a lock 'em up mentality.

Welcome to Florida. Arrive on vacation. Leave on probation.

My goal is to lift our country up and take back what is rightfully ours--the Constitution, human rights, and the removal of the Fear card from the political deck.

My baby is Smashed Frog. I'm a member of the Florida Progressive Coalition, the Florida Netroots and the Political Grind. I also contribute to The Crone Speaks. I'm not too Kos crazy--it's become a bit "sheeple"-- but I honor the work.

Last but not least--I'm a writer.
