Some show that Mrs Clinton's commanding lead in California - the largest of the 22 states to go to the polls tomorrow - has also been sharply cut, despite her continuing strength among Hispanic voters."

"We obviously hope to wrap it up sooner rather than later," Mrs Clinton said.

"It is unclear what Hillary can do to reverse the Obama momentum," said a neutral Democratic official. "She could still win the nomination. But it would be a close-run thing and it would take weeks and weeks."

I'm pretty certain Clinton knows exactly what she will do.
