As reported by Talking Points--

"Seems the NAFTAgate leak started with -- surprise, surprise -- the Chief of Staff to Canada's conservative PM Stephen Harper. Only the first hint wasn't about stuff the Canadians had heard from the Obama camp. It was about reassurances the Canadians got from the Clinton campaign. According to a reporter who heard the original conversation, Brodie said "someone from (Hillary) Clinton's campaign is telling the embassy to take it with a grain of salt. . . That someone called us and told us not to worry."

Only somehow this evolved into a story about the Obama campaign giving such reassurances."

How much more of this nonsense are we going to take, Democrats?

Seems everyone is worried about NAFTA. The real problem is the corporate tax in America. It is the second highest is the world at 35.5% only Japan beats us by a percentage point.

Add that to the state corporate income tax of say Ohio at 10.5% and we're at 46% then corps. match FICA, Obama wants to lift the ceiling on that to no limit, more taxes for you and me.

And then the Corps pay medicaid and general insurance. Not much left, it is no wonder the corps. are shopping around for a better deal.

Some countries are in the 10-15% range. The real problem is taxes.

Maybe we should add a carbon tax and start cap and trade. Right, No! No more taxes!

    Lower the taxes create jobs.

Let's think about this. Perhaps the fact many of our corporations have gone AWOL overseas is not really because of tax incentives or corporate taxes at all. Could it possibly be more about placing businesses overseas to so Americans with the cash can invest globally? Have the Bush tax cuts delivered for Wall Street but done zilch for America's Main Streets?

Except for the fact that we have had the largest economic growth in history. America's main streets are who invest and make money for things like a liberal education or retirement.

There are states with lower state corp taxes doing well, like Texas. I can't help the states still giving had out to illegals, like California.

Maybe we should keep regulating energy so we never build another power plant, refinery, wind farm, solar farm, or nuclear.

Just keep subsidizing corn, a food product, into an energy source.

Little or nothing is trickling down to average working Americans. Half of U.S. households do own some shares of stock, usually through their IRAs or 401Ks. But the vast majority own less than $5,000 worth. Their equity is in their homes, whose values have slumped. They're paying far more for health insurance and fuel. And their wages haven't kept up.
