This policy is specifically about PETA, aka People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals.
I have issues with these kinds of groups that instead of pushing for a realistic approach to animal consumption (I always get see their be-vegan/be-vegetarian commercials).
I believe that instead of pushing this 'agenda' (which is fine, everyone is entitled to what they believe in), it would make more sense to push a more liberal and realistic agenda, especially for such a liberal organization.
I mean along the lines of giving to humane society/shelters, or specifically for peoples own pets, or for becoming more aware of brands of consumer goods that are more friendly to animals. I think this kind of approach makes much more sense.
